Bamboo flooring is an environmentally friendly option that is beautiful and reliable. Bamboo is a renewable source due in less than three years when it takes decades for most deciduous at maturity. Bamboo is a large tree, like grass that grows around the world. The following measures are normally taken in the production of bamboo flooring.
Obviously the first step in the harvesting of bamboo flooring bamboo. Bamboo grows everywhere in the world if it can happen anywhere, but as for the flooring of bamboo, it is probably destined for China.
After harvesting bamboo, mostly in three to six years the bamboo green layer of outer skin is removed and the Tribes, or technically stems, cut into long strips. These bands are called “nets”. The bamboo strips are steamed under pressure, which allows a robust color. Unfortunately, the process of steam cooking tends to soften the bamboo, making it vulnerable to scratches and damage.
